Message from the President

Gail's Angels Foundation will soon be celebrating its 5th anniversary and I am pleased, encouraged and somewhat amazed by the accomplishments we've made. What began five years ago as an outstanding gesture of kindness to my family and me has taken root and is starting to bud into an organization that compassionately helps families under tremendous stress and with nowhere else to turn…

This past year has truly been extra special and I've learned a great deal. I've had the opportunity to speak with countless families in our focus group trying to better understand their needs and how Gail's Angels can continue to help them. Gail's Angels staff and I have met with directors, counselors and other organization leaders building relationships and exchanging ideas about improving our services. The result has been the implementation of three new programs. By instituting these programs our hopes are to lessen stress, offer inspiration and to improve the future of these families.

Gail's Angels has developed a "Family Counseling Program". This program provides group or individual counseling to every family member. Gail's Angels has teamed-up with the Nutley Family Service Bureau on this initiative assuring our families will receive sound counseling from highly qualified professionals.

In addition, our "House Cleaning Program" provides home cleaning services for Gail's Angels families.  Because of the constant care of our moms and their special needs child this is without a doubt our most popular program.

Our newest "Job Placement Program" assists in finding work for autistic young adults between the ages of 17 and 21. Gail's Angels will work with directors from schools like The Phoenix Center and organizations like The Nutley Special Young Adults organization in assisting them with placement of an autistic young adult in an eight week work program with the possibility of extending the work time. The goal of this program is to enable them to keep active with responsibilities in a social environment. The objective is to offer community service with reliable, supervised help and to promote the well being of members of our focus group.

Today, Gail's Angels supports families in Nutley, Lyndhurst, Clifton, North Arlington, Kearny, South Amboy, Livingston, Scotch Plains, Union, Cherry Hill, Paterson, Bloomfield, Rutherford, Newark, Teaneck, Succasunna, Brick, Cedar Grove, Paramus and Belleville.  Our focus is New Jersey but our goal is every state in the nation.  With your help Gail's Angels will accomplish this goal one family and one town at a time.

My dream with Gail's Angels has always been to create an environment that lessens stress and offers inspiration with hopes of a new beginning... John Lennon once said, "A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality". Help me continue to make Gail's Angels a reality.

Thank you for your concern, kindness and willingness to be part of something new.

"may your tears come from laughter"
And
"may the angels protect you"
